Job Purpose
The Agronomist will provide technical agricultural expertise to support sustainable crop production, farmer advisory services, agricultural innovation, and implementation of climate-smart agricultural solutions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities (Job Description)
The Agronomist will be responsible for:
Agronomy & Crop Management
- Providing technical support on crop production and agronomic best practices.
- Monitoring crop performance and recommending strategies to improve productivity.
- Advising on crop selection, planting schedules, pest control, and nutrient management.
- Supporting implementation of sustainable and climate-smart agricultural practices.
Farmer Training & Extension Services
- Conducting farmer education and extension support programs.
- Training farmers on:
- Climate-smart agriculture techniques
- Soil fertility management
- Pest and disease control
- Water conservation practices
- Good agricultural practices (GAP)
- Providing technical field demonstrations and advisory services.
Soil & Crop Health Management
- Conducting soil assessments and recommending suitable interventions.
- Supporting fertilizer recommendations and nutrient management plans.
- Monitoring crop diseases, pests, and environmental stress factors.
Research & Agricultural Innovation
- Supporting field trials and agricultural research activities.
- Collecting, analyzing, and documenting agricultural performance data.
- Contributing to the development of innovative farming solutions and productivity improvement strategies.
