Job Overview
The Hydraulic Systems Specialist will play a critical role in our maintenance and diagnostic division. This position is designed for a highly technical expert capable of troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing complex hydraulic circuits in heavy-duty machinery. As we continue our expansion in Damongo, this role is vital for ensuring the longevity and performance of our fleet used in large-scale infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostic testing on high-pressure hydraulic systems in excavators, bulldozers, and loaders.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
- Troubleshoot complex hydraulic circuit failures using electronic diagnostic software and pressure gauges.
- Oversee the replacement and calibration of hydraulic pumps, valves, and cylinders.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize fluid power efficiency in heavy machinery.
- Maintain detailed technical logs of all repairs and system performance metrics.
Required Skills
- Expertise in reading and interpreting complex hydraulic schematics and technical blueprints.
- Proficiency in using electronic diagnostic tools and specialized hydraulic testing equipment.
- Deep understanding of fluid power principles and mechanical system integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities for complex mechanical failures.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting technical findings to management.
Education
A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Power Technology, or a closely related engineering discipline is mandatory. Professional certification in hydraulic systems or heavy machinery maintenance is highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy industrial hydraulic systems. Proven experience working with large-scale earthmoving equipment is essential for success in this role.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from SSP 8,500 to SSP 12,000, depending on technical expertise and certifications held.
