Job Overview

The Supply Chain Manager will lead the planning, execution, and optimization of end‑to‑end logistics operations for DHL’s key accounts in the northern region of Ghana. Reporting to the Regional Operations Director, the incumbent will be responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound freight, managing inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and DHL’s global standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with client objectives and DHL’s performance targets.
  • Oversee daily freight forwarding activities, including air, sea, and road transportation, ensuring on‑time delivery.
  • Manage inventory control processes, conduct regular stock audits, and optimize warehouse utilization.
  • Coordinate customs clearance procedures, maintain up‑to‑date documentation, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Analyze logistics data, generate performance reports, and recommend cost‑saving measures.
  • Lead a cross‑functional team of coordinators, drivers, and warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Negotiate rates and service agreements with carriers and third‑party providers.
  • Implement continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP TM, Oracle Transportation Management).

Education
