Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Laboratory Assistant to join our dynamic laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience working in clinical or research laboratories and a strong educational background in life sciences. You will support laboratory operations by performing routine diagnostics, maintaining lab equipment, handling specimens, and assisting laboratory scientists with various testing procedures.

This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to strict laboratory protocols. It is ideal for candidates who are passionate about healthcare diagnostics, laboratory operations, and contributing to patient care in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

Collect, label, and process biological samples, including blood, urine, and tissue specimens.

Assist in performing routine clinical diagnostics and laboratory tests under supervision.

Prepare reagents, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure proper functioning.

Maintain laboratory inventory, including chemicals, reagents, and consumables.

Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols.

Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation for testing and reporting purposes.

Support quality control initiatives and participate in laboratory audits.

Collaborate with medical staff, laboratory technologists, and hospital administration for smooth operations.

Assist with research projects, microbiology, hematology, or pathology tasks as required.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure laboratory accuracy and reliability.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related life science field.

3–5 years of experience in hospital laboratories, clinical diagnostics, or research labs.

Familiarity with laboratory instruments, chemical handling, and laboratory information systems (LIS).

Knowledge of quality assurance, laboratory safety, and infection prevention protocols.

Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilities.
