Job Overview
This role is pivotal in deploying and optimizing agricultural technologies across northern Ghana. The Agricultural Technology Officer will bridge the gap between advanced agri-tech systems and local farming communities, ensuring scalable adoption of sustainable practices. The position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities to contribute to impactful projects in rural development and climate-smart agriculture.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor precision farming technologies, including soil sensors and irrigation systems
- Conduct training sessions for farmers on agri-tech tools and sustainable practices
- Collaborate with research institutions to pilot new agricultural innovations
- Collect and analyze farm performance data to optimize technology deployment
- Develop partnerships with local cooperatives and government agricultural agencies
Required Skills
- Proficiency in agricultural software platforms and IoT devices
- Strong understanding of Ghanaian farming ecosystems and challenges
- Problem-solving abilities in remote field environments
- Fluency in local languages (Dagbani, Frafra) preferred

Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, or Environmental Science
- Certification in Agricultural Technology or Rural Development (advantageous)
Experience

Salary
15,000 – 20,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
