Job Overview
GreenPower Solutions Ghana seeks a dynamic Community Renewable Energy Project Manager to lead the implementation of solar microgrid projects in Suhum. This role combines technical expertise with community engagement to ensure successful energy deployment and long-term sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage end-to-end renewable energy projects, including feasibility studies, stakeholder consultations, and system installation
- Collaborate with local communities to identify energy needs and co-create project plans
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and government agencies to ensure compliance with regulations
- Monitor project performance and community impact through data collection and reporting
- Develop training programs for local technicians and community members on system maintenance
Required Skills
- Proven experience in renewable energy project management or community development initiatives
- Strong understanding of solar/wind energy systems and their applications
- Excellent communication and cross-cultural collaboration skills
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana)
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Energy Engineering, or related field
- Master’s degree preferred
Experience
- 3-5 years in renewable energy project management or community development
- Experience in West Africa preferred
Salary
150,000 – 200,000 SSP annually, based on experience and qualifications.
