Job Overview: We are seeking a Digital Forestry Specialist to join our team in Bolgatanga, Ghana. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to support our forestry and conservation efforts. This includes designing and implementing digital tools to monitor and manage forest resources, as well as developing and maintaining databases and other digital systems to support our conservation work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement digital solutions to support forestry and conservation efforts
  • Develop and maintain databases and other digital systems to support conservation work
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and prioritize digital solutions to support conservation efforts
  • Develop and deliver training and capacity-building programs for colleagues and partners on digital tools and techniques
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify best practices and emerging trends in digital forestry and conservation

Required Skills:

  • Strong technical skills in digital tools and technologies, including database management and programming languages
  • Experience with digital mapping and GIS technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or related field

Experience: 5-7 years of experience in digital forestry and conservation, with a focus on developing and implementing digital solutions to support conservation efforts

Salary: 50,000 – 80,000 SSP per annum
