Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Forestry Specialist to join our team in Kintampo, Ghana. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to support our forestry and conservation efforts. This includes designing and implementing digital tools to monitor and analyze forest health, developing data-driven insights to inform conservation decisions, and collaborating with stakeholders to promote sustainable land use practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement digital tools to monitor and analyze forest health
  • Develop data-driven insights to inform conservation decisions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to promote sustainable land use practices
  • Conduct field research and data collection to support conservation efforts
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local communities and stakeholders

Required Skills:

  • Strong technical skills in data analysis, programming, and software development
  • Experience with digital mapping and geographic information systems (GIS)
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Fluency in English and local languages

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or related field

Experience: 5-7 years of experience in digital forestry, conservation, or a related field
