Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and execute network roll‑out projects, including LTE and 5G deployments.
- Perform site surveys, RF planning, and capacity analysis to optimize coverage and throughput.
- Collaborate with vendor partners for equipment integration, testing, and commissioning.
- Monitor network performance using OSS tools, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, schematics, and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in incident management, root‑cause analysis, and post‑incident reviews.
- Support network expansion initiatives aligned with MTN Ghana’s growth strategy.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of LTE, 5G NR, and core network architectures.
- Proficiency with RF planning tools (e.g., Atoll, Planet) and network monitoring platforms.
- Hands‑on experience with microwave, fiber, and microwave backhaul technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills for cross‑team collaboration.
- Project management competence and ability to meet deadlines.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as Cisco CCNP, Nokia NRS, or Huawei HCNP are advantageous and demonstrate a commitment to technical excellence.
Experience
Applicants should have 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in telecommunications network engineering, preferably within a mobile operator environment. Experience with 4G/5G deployments, network optimization, and vendor management will be highly valued.
Salary
