We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Supply Chain Procurement Officer to join our growing team in Damongo. This role is critical to ensuring that our manufacturing processes remain uninterrupted by managing the end-to-end procurement cycle for raw materials and essential services. Key Responsibilities
- Execute procurement strategies to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and packaging components.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with local and international suppliers to achieve cost savings.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with the production and logistics teams to align procurement schedules with manufacturing needs.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and manage the digital inventory tracking system.
- Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks through proactive market analysis.
Required Skills
- Advanced negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for vendor management.
- Deep understanding of local and international trade regulations.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Procurement Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related business field is mandatory. Professional certification such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) is highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the manufacturing or FMCG sector. Experience working in the Savannah Region or similar environments is an advantage.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from SSP 8,500 to SSP 12,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
