Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Procurement Officer to join our manufacturing hub in Mampong. This role is critical to ensuring that our production lines remain uninterrupted by managing the end-to-end sourcing and acquisition of raw materials, packaging, and indirect services. The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating favorable terms with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with international quality standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the procurement lifecycle for raw materials and packaging components to ensure continuous production.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers that align with Unilever’s sustainability and quality standards.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor supplier performance through regular audits and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with the production and quality assurance teams to ensure all materials meet strict technical specifications.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and manage the digital procurement database.
  • Mitigate supply chain risks by developing contingency plans for critical material shortages.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is mandatory. Professional certification such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) is highly preferred and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.

Experience

Candidates must demonstrate a minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably within the manufacturing or FMCG sector.
