Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Forestry Specialist to join our team in Mankessim, Ghana. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to support our forestry and conservation efforts. This role will involve working closely with our team of foresters, conservationists, and IT specialists to design and implement digital tools and systems that enhance our ability to monitor and manage forest ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement digital solutions to support forestry and conservation efforts
- Collaborate with foresters, conservationists, and IT specialists to design and implement digital tools and systems
- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for digital innovation in forestry and conservation
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and local communities
- Provide training and support to colleagues on the use of digital tools and systems
Required Skills:
- Strong technical skills in digital solutions development and implementation
- Experience working with forestry and conservation teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluency in English and local language
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or related field
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in digital solutions development and implementation, preferably in a forestry or conservation context
Salary: 40,000 – 60,000 SSP per annum
