Job Overview

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and passionate Chief Wildlife Veterinarian to lead our health monitoring and emergency response initiatives within the Mole National Park region. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive wildlife health monitoring programs for endangered species.
• Perform emergency surgical interventions and medical treatments for injured or sick wildlife.
• Lead the surveillance and control of zoonotic diseases to prevent transmission between wildlife, livestock, and humans.
• Manage the procurement and maintenance of veterinary pharmaceuticals and specialized field equipment.
• Collaborate with the Ghana Wildlife Division to develop protocols for animal translocation and rehabilitation.
• Conduct necropsies and pathological examinations to determine causes of mortality in the wild.
• Train and mentor junior veterinary staff and park rangers in basic animal first aid and health reporting.
• Analyze health data to identify trends and provide scientific recommendations for habitat management.

Education
