Job Overview

Ghana Job Search is proud to announce the availability of a Digital Museum Curator position at the British Council in Wa, Ghana. As a Digital Museum Curator, you will be responsible for the development, management and maintenance of the digital museum’s online presence, including its website, social media and online collections.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in museum studies, digital humanities or a related field, and experience in managing digital collections and online engagement. They will also have excellent communication and project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a digital strategy for the museum, including the development of its website and social media presence.
  • Manage and maintain the museum’s online collections, including the digitization of objects and the development of online exhibitions.
  • Collaborate with curators and other stakeholders to develop and deliver online content, including exhibitions, events and educational programs.
  • Develop and implement a plan for the evaluation and improvement of the museum’s online presence.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the museum’s online presence and engage with online audiences.

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in museum studies, digital humanities or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing digital collections and online engagement.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies and trends.
