Job Overview

The Financial Inclusion Specialist will play a key role in supporting the World Bank’s financial inclusion program in Ghana. The successful candidate will work closely with the Government of Ghana, as well as other development partners, to support the development of the financial sector and promote financial inclusion.

The Financial Inclusion Specialist will be responsible for providing technical assistance to the Government of Ghana, as well as other stakeholders, to support the development of the financial sector and promote financial inclusion. The successful candidate will also work closely with other World Bank teams, including the Financial Sector Development Team and the Poverty Reduction Team, to support the development of the financial sector and promote financial inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance to the Government of Ghana, as well as other stakeholders, to support the development of the financial sector and promote financial inclusion.
  • Work closely with other World Bank teams, including the Financial Sector Development Team and the Poverty Reduction Team, to support the development of the financial sector and promote financial inclusion.
  • Support the development of the financial sector and promote financial inclusion through policy and regulatory reforms.
  • Support the development of financial products and services that are tailored to the needs of the poor and vulnerable.
  • Work closely with other development partners, including NGOs and private sector companies, to support the development of the financial sector and promote financial inclusion.

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in economics, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial sector development, with a focus on financial inclusion.
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with financial sector analysis and policy and regulatory reforms.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working with governments, NGOs, and private sector companies.
  • Fluency in English, with strong writing and speaking skills.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, or a related field.

Experience

5-7 years of experience in financial sector development, with a focus on financial inclusion.
