The team collaborates with governments, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to design and implement policies and programs that promote financial inclusion.
Job Overview
The Financial Inclusion Specialist will work with the World Bank’s Financial Inclusion team to design and implement financial inclusion programs in Ghana. The specialist will work closely with government officials, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities to increase access to financial services for low-income households and small businesses.
The specialist will also conduct research and analysis to identify best practices in financial inclusion and develop recommendations for policy and program reforms. The specialist will work with the World Bank’s country team to develop a comprehensive financial inclusion strategy for Ghana.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities to increase access to financial services for low-income households and small businesses
- Develop recommendations for policy and program reforms to promote financial inclusion
- Collaborate with government officials, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to design and implement financial inclusion programs
- Work with the World Bank’s country team to develop a comprehensive financial inclusion strategy for Ghana
- Provide technical assistance to government officials and financial institutions to implement financial inclusion programs
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in economics, finance, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in financial inclusion or a related field
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
