Job Overview
The Director of Cloud Infrastructure Operations will lead the design, implementation, and management of Google Cloud’s infrastructure services in Ghana. Reporting to the Regional Cloud Services Manager, you will oversee a multidisciplinary team responsible for ensuring high availability, security, and performance of cloud platforms that support a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from startups to large enterprises. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers, site reliability engineers, and support specialists to deliver reliable cloud services.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for infrastructure scaling, capacity management, and cost optimization.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, data protection regulations, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with product, sales, and customer success teams to align infrastructure capabilities with market demands.
- Implement automation frameworks using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Monitor performance metrics, conduct root‑cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Represent Google Ghana in industry forums, conferences, and client engagements to promote cloud adoption.
Required Skills
- Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and architecture.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems, networking, and virtualization technologies.
- Strong knowledge of automation, CI/CD pipelines, and IaC methodologies.

Education

Experience
Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in cloud infrastructure operations, with at least five (5) years in a leadership role overseeing large‑scale cloud environments. Demonstrated success in managing high‑availability services, implementing automation, and driving cost‑efficiency initiatives.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 250,000 to SSP 350,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses and equity participation opportunities.
