Job Overview
As an Agricultural Economist at IFAD, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of agricultural policies and programs that promote sustainable agricultural development and poverty reduction in Ghana. You will work closely with government officials, farmers’ organizations, and other stakeholders to analyze agricultural markets, identify opportunities for growth, and develop strategies to improve the competitiveness of Ghana’s agricultural sector.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze agricultural markets and identify opportunities for growth and development
- Develop and implement policies and programs to promote sustainable agricultural development and poverty reduction
- Work closely with government officials, farmers’ organizations, and other stakeholders to implement agricultural development projects
- Conduct research and analysis on agricultural issues and develop reports and recommendations for IFAD management and government officials
- Provide technical assistance and capacity-building support to government officials and farmers’ organizations
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in agricultural economics or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team and build partnerships with stakeholders
