Job Overview
The Director of Institutional Research will lead the collection, analysis, and reporting of critical data that informs academic planning, accreditation, and resource allocation at Ashesi University. Reporting directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, you will oversee a team of analysts, develop robust data systems, and produce actionable insights that support the university’s strategic goals. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive institutional research frameworks aligned with accreditation requirements and strategic objectives.
- Lead the collection, validation, and analysis of academic, enrollment, financial, and alumni data.
- Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership, governing boards, and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with academic departments to assess program effectiveness, curriculum relevance, and student performance metrics.
- Develop predictive models to forecast enrollment trends, resource needs, and graduate outcomes.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with Ghanaian data protection regulations.
- Mentor and supervise a team of research analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Stay abreast of best practices in higher education research and integrate innovative methodologies into the university’s processes.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Education
A Master’s degree in Education, Statistics, Economics, Public Policy, or a closely related discipline is required. Candidates with a Ph.D. or additional certifications in data analytics or higher education administration are highly desirable.
Experience
Minimum of five years of progressive experience in institutional research, educational assessment, or data analytics within a university or comparable research‑intensive organization. Proven track record of leading large‑scale data projects and influencing strategic decision‑making is essential.
Salary
