Job Overview

The Educational Technology Product Specialist will be responsible for shaping the strategy, development, and market adoption of Microsoft’s education‑focused products and services within Ghana. Working closely with product managers, engineers, sales teams, and educational institutions, you will ensure that Microsoft’s solutions align with local curriculum standards, address classroom challenges, and drive digital literacy. This position plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between technology and pedagogy, fostering partnerships, and delivering training that empowers educators to integrate Microsoft tools such as Teams for Education, OneNote Class Notebooks, and Azure AI services into everyday teaching. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers to define feature requirements that meet the specific needs of Ghanaian schools and higher‑education institutions.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends in education technology across West Africa.
  • Develop and deliver product demos, workshops, and webinars for teachers, administrators, and district officials.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Microsoft engineering teams and local educational stakeholders, ensuring feedback loops are closed efficiently.
  • Create localized content, case studies, and success stories that showcase the impact of Microsoft education solutions.
  • Support the sales team by providing technical expertise during pre‑sales engagements and proposal development.
  • Monitor product performance metrics, adoption rates, and user satisfaction, and recommend enhancements.
  • Represent Microsoft at education conferences, hackathons, and community events to promote brand visibility.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of K‑12 and tertiary education ecosystems in Ghana.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft education platforms (Teams for Education, OneNote, Azure AI, Power Platform).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into pedagogical benefits.
  • Project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple stakeholder timelines.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data to drive product decisions.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Twi or other local languages is an advantage.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Education, Computer Science, Information Technology, Educational Psychology, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications in Microsoft education solutions (e.g., Microsoft Certified Educator) are highly desirable.

Experience

Applicants should have 3‑5 years of experience in education technology, product management, or a related field. Prior experience working with schools, ministries of education, or NGOs focused on digital learning will be considered a strong asset.

Salary
