Job Overview
The Mining Operations Engineer will play a pivotal role in optimizing production processes, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining the highest safety standards at the Obuasi Mine. Key Responsibilities
- Design, evaluate, and optimize underground and open‑pit mining plans to maximize ore extraction while minimizing waste.
- Conduct regular performance analyses of equipment, ventilation, and ground support systems.
- Collaborate with geologists, metallurgists, and safety officers to integrate geological models into operational strategies.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, safety, and environmental impact.
- Lead root‑cause investigations for operational disruptions and develop corrective action plans.
- Support the integration of digital mining technologies, including real‑time monitoring and data analytics platforms.
- Prepare technical reports, cost‑benefit analyses, and feasibility studies for capital projects.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, and international mining standards.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in mining software such as Surpac, Vulcan, or MineSight.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven mindset.

Education
