Job Overview
The Digital Archivist will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the IRC’s digital archives in Ghana. The successful candidate will work closely with the IT department to ensure the proper storage, organization, and retrieval of digital records.
The IRC is committed to ensuring that our digital archives are secure, accessible, and compliant with international standards. The Digital Archivist will play a critical role in achieving this goal, and will work closely with colleagues across the organization to ensure that our digital records are properly managed and preserved.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a digital archives program for the IRC in Ghana
- Work with the IT department to ensure the proper storage, organization, and retrieval of digital records
- Develop and maintain a system for cataloging and indexing digital records
- Ensure that digital records are properly preserved and migrated to new formats as necessary
- Develop and implement a training program for staff on the use of the digital archives
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Archives, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in digital archives or a related field
- Knowledge of digital archives standards and best practices
- Experience with digital preservation and migration tools
- Strong organizational and analytical skills

Working Environment
The Digital Archivist will work in a fast-paced office environment, and will be required to travel occasionally to other IRC offices in Ghana.
