The GCAA is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aviation Safety Inspector to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that aviation operators in Ghana comply with safety regulations and standards.

Job Overview

The Aviation Safety Inspector will be responsible for conducting regular inspections of aviation operators to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. The successful candidate will also be responsible for investigating accidents and incidents, and for providing recommendations for improving safety standards in the aviation industry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aviation safety, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. The candidate will also have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as aviation safety, aeronautical engineering, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of aviation operators to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
• Investigate accidents and incidents, and provide recommendations for improving safety standards in the aviation industry
• Develop and implement safety inspection programs to ensure compliance with international standards and best practices
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that safety standards are integrated into all aspects of aviation operations
• Provide training and guidance to aviation operators on safety regulations and standards

Required Skills

• Strong background in aviation safety, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as aviation safety, aeronautical engineering, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of international safety standards and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
