Job Overview

Nestlé Ghana is seeking a dedicated Food Safety Inspector to join its Quality Assurance team in Tema. This role is critical to maintaining the company’s reputation for excellence by ensuring all food production processes adhere to local and international safety regulations. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections of production lines, storage facilities, and packaging units to ensure compliance with food safety protocols.
  • Monitor and document hygiene practices, equipment sanitation, and employee adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Investigate and resolve food safety incidents or non-conformities promptly.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to audit raw material quality and traceability.
  • Prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000 standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using food safety software and documentation tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Environmental Health, or a related discipline. A postgraduate qualification or certification in food safety management is an added advantage.

Experience

Minimum of 2–3 years in food safety inspection, quality control, or regulatory compliance roles within the food manufacturing industry. Experience in a multinational corporation is preferred.

Salary

10,000 – 15,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
