Job Overview: We are seeking a Digital Forestry Specialist to join our team in Bolgatanga, Ghana. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to support our forestry and conservation efforts. This will include designing and implementing digital tools to monitor forest health, track conservation progress, and engage with local communities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in forestry, conservation, and digital technologies, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement digital tools to support forestry and conservation efforts
- Develop and maintain databases and data systems to track conservation progress
- Collaborate with local communities and stakeholders to develop and implement conservation plans
- Conduct fieldwork to monitor forest health and track conservation progress
- Develop and implement digital engagement strategies to raise awareness about conservation efforts
Required Skills:
- Strong background in forestry, conservation, and digital technologies
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in digital tools and software, including GIS and database management
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or related field
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in forestry, conservation, or a related field
Salary: 5,000 – 10,000 SSP per month
