Job Overview: We are seeking a Digital Forestry Specialist to join our team in Ho, Ghana. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital solutions to support our forestry and conservation efforts. This will include designing and implementing digital tools and platforms to monitor and manage forest resources, as well as developing and implementing digital training programs for local communities and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement digital tools and platforms to monitor and manage forest resources
- Develop and implement digital training programs for local communities and stakeholders
- Collaborate with local communities and stakeholders to develop and implement sustainable forestry practices
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of digital solutions and make recommendations for improvement
Required Skills:
- Strong technical skills in digital foresters and conservation
- Experience with digital tools and platforms, including GIS and remote sensing
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or related field
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in digital foresters and conservation
Salary: 5000-8000 SSP per month
