Job Overview

Philips Ghana is seeking a Digital Health Solutions Specialist to design, implement, and optimize technology-driven healthcare systems. This role will support Philips’ mission to bridge the gap between cutting-edge innovation and practical healthcare delivery in Ghana. The position is based in Suhum and offers opportunities to work on transformative projects in partnership with local hospitals, clinics, and government health agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy digital health strategies for telemedicine platforms, electronic health records (EHR), and mobile health (mHealth) solutions
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to identify technological needs and design customized solutions
  • Analyze healthcare data to improve system efficiency and patient outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with Ghanaian health regulations and international data privacy standards
  • Provide technical training to healthcare professionals on digital tools and platforms
  • Monitor emerging health tech trends and recommend innovations for implementation

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in health information systems (HIS) and digital health platforms
  • Strong understanding of Ghana’s healthcare ecosystem and regulatory environment
  • Experience with cloud-based health solutions and IoT medical devices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills for troubleshooting technical and operational challenges
  • Fluency in both English and local languages (e.g., Twi, Ewe) preferred
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams

Education

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Public Health or Healthcare Management is a strong advantage.

Experience

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare technology implementation, preferably in African healthcare settings. Experience with World Health Organization (WHO) digital health initiatives or partnerships with Ghana Health Service (GHS) is highly desirable.

Salary

15,000 – 20,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
