Job Overview
The Environmental Impact Assessor will evaluate the ecological consequences of proposed developments, including mining, agriculture, and energy projects. This role is pivotal in guiding stakeholders toward environmentally responsible decisions while maintaining economic viability. Candidates will leverage cutting-edge geospatial tools and field research to produce actionable reports for clients and regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field surveys to assess biodiversity, water quality, and land use patterns
- Prepare detailed environmental impact assessment (EIA) reports for mining and infrastructure projects
- Collaborate with engineers and policymakers to integrate sustainability into project designs
- Monitor compliance with Ghana Environmental Protection Agency (GEPA) regulations
- Present findings to clients and government agencies through technical presentations
Required Skills
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and environmental data analysis software
- Strong understanding of Ghana’s environmental legislation and EIA protocols
- Excellent report writing and stakeholder communication abilities
- Experience in West African ecosystems and climate challenges
- Ability to work in remote field locations with minimal supervision
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Geography, or related discipline
- Postgraduate qualification in Environmental Management preferred
Experience
- 3-5 years in environmental impact assessment or conservation research

Salary
150,000 – 200,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
