We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Impact Specialist to join our team in Ho, Ghana.
Job Overview
The Environmental Impact Specialist will be responsible for assessing and mitigating the environmental impacts of our conservation projects and programs.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental science and experience in conducting environmental impact assessments.
They will work closely with our conservation team to ensure that our projects are implemented in a way that minimizes harm to the environment and promotes sustainable development.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental impact assessments for our conservation projects and programs
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate the environmental impacts of our projects
- Work with our conservation team to ensure that our projects are implemented in a way that minimizes harm to the environment
- Collaborate with local communities and stakeholders to promote sustainable development and conservation
- Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in environmental impact assessment and mitigation
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and policies in Ghana
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
