Job Overview
The Marine Logistics Coordinator will manage end‑to‑end coordination of cargo shipments arriving and departing from Takoradi Port. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the incumbent will oversee vessel scheduling, cargo documentation, customs compliance, and coordination with stevedores and inland transport providers. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate vessel arrival and departure schedules, ensuring optimal berth allocation and adherence to port authority regulations.
- Prepare and verify all shipping documents, including bills of lading, cargo manifests, and customs declarations.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, stevedores, and inland transport partners to guarantee seamless cargo movement.
- Monitor cargo loading and unloading processes, addressing any discrepancies or damage reports promptly.
- Manage demurrage and detention costs by proactively communicating with shipping lines and clients.
- Maintain accurate records in the company’s logistics management system and generate regular performance reports.
- Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, Ghanaian customs laws, and company safety standards.
- Support the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of maritime logistics, port operations, and customs procedures.
