Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of Maersk’s global digital logistics platforms across Ghana operations, including Track & Trace systems, digital documentation platforms, and IoT-enabled cargo monitoring solutions
• Develop and execute comprehensive implementation plans for new logistics technologies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational requirements
• Collaborate with global technology teams to customize solutions for the Ghanaian market, addressing local regulatory requirements and operational challenges
• Manage cross-functional implementation teams comprising IT specialists, operations staff, customer service representatives, and external partners
• Conduct thorough needs assessments and gap analyses to identify technology requirements across different business units and customer segments
• Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for staff at all levels, ensuring effective adoption and utilization of implemented technologies
• Establish performance metrics and monitoring systems to track technology implementation success and identify areas for continuous improvement
• Develop and maintain implementation documentation, including project plans, risk registers, change management strategies, and post-implementation reviews
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies and industry partners to ensure compliance with Ghana’s digital logistics standards and data protection regulations
• Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting implementation challenges and developing innovative solutions to overcome local adoption barriers

Required Skills

• Expertise in logistics technology platforms including Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and supply chain visibility tools
• Proven project management capabilities with experience implementing complex technology solutions in logistics or supply chain environments
• Strong understanding of Ghana’s logistics infrastructure, regulatory environment, and digital transformation landscape
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to engage diverse groups including operations teams, technology vendors, customers, and regulatory authorities
• Technical proficiency in system integration, data migration, API implementation, and cloud-based logistics solutions
• Advanced analytical skills for assessing implementation impact, measuring ROI, and identifying optimization opportunities
• Change management expertise with ability to drive technology adoption across diverse organizational levels and cultural contexts
• Problem-solving capabilities with experience addressing implementation challenges in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
• Communication skills for effectively translating technical requirements to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa
• Knowledge of emerging logistics technologies including blockchain, IoT, AI, and predictive analytics in supply chain contexts

Education

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or Supply Chain Management is strongly preferred. Professional certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2), supply chain (CSCP, SCPro), or technology implementation are highly valued. Additional training in change management, digital transformation methodologies, or specific logistics technology platforms will be considered advantageous. Experience

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in logistics technology implementation, digital supply chain transformation, or related technology deployment roles. Experience working in Ghana or West Africa’s logistics sector is essential, with demonstrated understanding of regional challenges and opportunities.
