Job Overview
The Regulatory Affairs Manager will lead Ghana Telecom’s regulatory strategy, ensuring all products, services, and operations comply with the National Communications Authority (NCA) regulations, international telecom standards, and emerging policy frameworks. This senior role involves close interaction with government bodies, industry associations, and internal stakeholders to anticipate regulatory changes, develop compliance roadmaps, and represent the company in policy discussions. The successful candidate will be instrumental in safeguarding the company’s market position, mitigating regulatory risks, and supporting business growth through proactive compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive regulatory strategy aligned with Ghana Telecom’s business objectives.
- Monitor, interpret, and communicate changes in telecommunications regulations, licensing requirements, and industry standards.
- Prepare and submit all regulatory filings, license applications, and compliance reports to the NCA and other relevant authorities.
- Lead cross‑functional teams in ensuring product and service compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
- Represent Ghana Telecom in industry forums, regulatory hearings, and stakeholder meetings.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans for potential regulatory breaches.
- Provide training and guidance to internal departments on regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Collaborate with legal, engineering, and commercial teams to embed compliance into contract negotiations and service agreements.
- Maintain a regulatory knowledge base and ensure continuous updates to internal policies.
Required Skills
- Deep understanding of Ghanaian telecommunications law, NCA guidelines, and international standards such as ITU and 3GPP.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a proactive approach to regulatory challenges.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interfacing with government officials and industry bodies.
- Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to translate complex regulatory language into actionable business processes.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ethical standards.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Law, Telecommunications, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. A master’s degree or professional certifications such as Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) are advantageous.
Experience
Minimum of five years’ experience in regulatory affairs within the telecommunications sector, with a track record of successful compliance management and policy advocacy. Experience working with the National Communications Authority or similar regulatory bodies is highly preferred.
Salary
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from SSP 2,500 to SSP 4,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional performance‑based incentives may be provided.
