Job Overview
The Network Security Manager will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of Vodafone Ghana’s network security architecture. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce comprehensive network security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Design, implement, and monitor firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPN solutions.
- Lead incident response activities, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to integrate security controls into new infrastructure projects.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with Ghanaian data protection laws, ISO 27001, and industry best practices.
- Manage relationships with external security vendors and service providers.
- Prepare and present security reports and metrics to senior leadership.
- Mentor and train junior security staff on emerging threats and technologies.
- Stay updated on global cyber‑threat trends and recommend proactive measures.
Required Skills
- Deep expertise in network security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, VPN).
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and wireless protocols.
- Proficiency in security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
- Hands‑on experience with security incident handling and forensic analysis.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- Effective communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Project management experience with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Education
