Job Overview

The Network Security Manager will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of Vodafone Ghana’s network security architecture. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce comprehensive network security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Design, implement, and monitor firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPN solutions.
• Lead incident response activities, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with network engineering teams to integrate security controls into new infrastructure projects.
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with Ghanaian data protection laws, ISO 27001, and industry best practices.
• Manage relationships with external security vendors and service providers.
• Prepare and present security reports and metrics to senior leadership.
• Mentor and train junior security staff on emerging threats and technologies.
• Stay updated on global cyber‑threat trends and recommend proactive measures.

Required Skills

• Deep expertise in network security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, VPN).
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and wireless protocols.
• Proficiency in security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
• Hands‑on experience with security incident handling and forensic analysis.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and analytical thinking.
• Effective communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Education
