Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Digital Heritage Preservation Specialist to join our team in Ho, Ghana. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital preservation strategies for cultural heritage institutions in Ghana.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital preservation, cultural heritage, and conservation. They will have excellent communication and project management skills, and be able to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement digital preservation strategies for cultural heritage institutions in Ghana
• Conduct needs assessments and provide recommendations for digital preservation infrastructure and workflows
• Collaborate with cultural heritage institutions to develop and implement digital preservation plans
• Provide training and capacity building programs for cultural heritage professionals in digital preservation
• Develop and maintain partnerships with cultural heritage institutions, government agencies, and other stakeholders

Required Skills

• Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. digital preservation, cultural heritage, conservation)
• At least 5 years of experience in digital preservation or a related field
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Strong knowledge of digital preservation principles, practices, and technologies

Education

A Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. digital preservation, cultural heritage, conservation) is required.

Experience

At least 5 years of experience in digital preservation or a related field is required.
