Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our Compliance team in Ho, Ghana. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the bank’s operations in Ghana comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
The Regulatory Compliance Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on regulatory developments, conducting risk assessments, and implementing compliance policies and procedures. The successful candidate will also be required to provide training and guidance to employees on compliance matters and to work closely with the bank’s regulators and external auditors.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and report on regulatory developments and ensure that the bank’s operations in Ghana comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement compliance policies and procedures to mitigate risks.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance matters.
- Work closely with the bank’s regulators and external auditors to ensure that the bank’s operations in Ghana are compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, external auditors, and employees.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably in a bank or financial institution.
- Strong technical knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, or a related field.
Experience
At least 5 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably in a bank or financial institution.
