Job Overview
ERM Ghana Limited is seeking an Environmental Compliance Officer to lead regulatory adherence initiatives for industrial clients in Sekondi-Takoradi. This role involves auditing operations, developing compliance protocols, and advising on environmental impact assessments (EIAs). The position is ideal for professionals passionate about sustainability and regulatory frameworks in emerging markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental audits and prepare compliance reports for clients
- Develop and implement environmental management systems (EMS) aligned with Ghanaian and international standards
- Provide technical guidance on waste management, emissions control, and biodiversity conservation
- Collaborate with government agencies to secure environmental permits and licenses
- Train client teams on sustainable practices and regulatory requirements
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in Ghana’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting environmental data
- Excellent written and verbal communication for stakeholder engagement
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and environmental software tools
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline. A Master’s Degree in Environmental Management is preferred.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in environmental compliance, preferably in Ghana or other West African countries. Experience in the oil and gas or mining sectors is an advantage.
Salary
130,000 – 160,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience.

Working Environment
