Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of mining sites.
• Develop and implement safety protocols aligned with Ghanaian mining regulations.
• Train employees on safety procedures and emergency response.
• Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with regulatory bodies to maintain compliance certifications.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in mining safety or occupational health.
• Strong knowledge of Ghana’s Occupational Safety and Health (GOSA) standards.

Education

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Mining Engineering, Environmental Health, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) is an added advantage.

Experience

Minimum of 3-5 years in mining safety roles, preferably in Ghana or similar environments. Experience in gold mining operations is highly desirable.

Salary

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from 12,000 to 18,000 SSP, depending on experience and qualifications.
