Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate Cultural Heritage 3D Animator to join our team in Banda, Ghana. This role will focus on creating immersive 3D models of historically significant sites, integrating traditional storytelling with digital preservation. The ideal candidate will blend technical expertise with cultural sensitivity to produce high-quality visualizations that educate and engage global audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and animate 3D models of cultural heritage sites using software like Blender and Maya.
  • Collaborate with historians and local communities to ensure cultural accuracy in digital reconstructions.
  • Develop interactive virtual tours for museums, schools, and online platforms.
  • Conduct field surveys to gather data for 3D modeling projects.
  • Present final animations to stakeholders and provide technical support for exhibitions.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in 3D animation software (Blender, Maya, 3ds Max).
  • Experience with photogrammetry and laser scanning tools.
  • Strong understanding of Ghanaian cultural heritage and historical context.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Digital Animation, Cultural Heritage, Computer Graphics, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Cultural Preservation or Digital Media is a plus.

Experience

2-3 years of experience in 3D animation, preferably in cultural or heritage projects. Portfolio showcasing previous work is required.

Salary

15,000 – 25,000 SSP per year, depending on experience and portfolio quality.
