Job Overview

As a Logistics and Supply Chain Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end management of procurement, inventory, transportation, and distribution of raw materials and finished products. This role is critical to optimizing supply chain efficiency, reducing operational costs, and maintaining high service standards for Dangote Cement’s clients across Ghana.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic logistics plans to streamline supply chain operations.
• Manage procurement of raw materials, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
• Coordinate with suppliers, distributors, and internal teams to maintain inventory levels.
• Optimize transportation routes and methods to minimize costs and environmental impact.
• Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all logistics activities.

Required Skills

• Proven expertise in supply chain management within manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Strong analytical skills for demand forecasting and inventory optimization.
• Knowledge of cement production processes and logistics challenges in the sector.
• Leadership and team management capabilities.
• Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and data analysis tools.
• Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
• Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) is an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience in the cement or construction materials industry is highly desirable.

Salary

150,000 – 250,000 SSP annually, commensurate with experience and performance.
