Job Overview
The Medical Devices Sales Manager will lead the sales strategy for Medtronic’s portfolio of cardiovascular, neuro‑vascular, and surgical devices in the Kumasi region. Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, the manager will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with key decision‑makers, including physicians, procurement officers, and hospital administrators. The role demands a blend of clinical knowledge, commercial acumen, and leadership skills to achieve revenue targets, expand market share, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan aligned with regional and national objectives.
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities with hospitals, clinics, and private practices.
- Maintain a robust pipeline through regular prospecting, networking, and participation in industry events.
- Deliver product demonstrations, clinical presentations, and training sessions to healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns and promotional materials.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform product positioning.
- Ensure compliance with Medtronic’s ethical standards, local regulations, and corporate policies.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and performance dashboards for senior leadership.
- Mentor and coach junior sales representatives, fostering a high‑performance culture.
Required Skills
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in the medical device or healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows, product lifecycle, and reimbursement mechanisms in Ghana.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Strategic thinking with the capacity to translate market insights into actionable plans.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with physicians, administrators, and key opinion leaders.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field is required. Advanced certifications in medical sales (e.g., Certified Medical Sales Professional) or a Master’s degree are advantageous.
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of experience selling medical devices or high‑value healthcare solutions, preferably within Ghana or the West African region. Experience managing a sales team and delivering complex product solutions to multi‑disciplinary clinical teams is highly valued.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 85,000 to SSP 120,000 per month, commensurate with experience and performance. The package includes performance‑based incentives, health insurance, and a company‑matched pension scheme.
