Job Overview
We seek a passionate Sustainable Textile Production Specialist to lead our efforts in integrating sustainable practices into textile manufacturing. This role will drive innovation in eco-friendly materials, energy efficiency, and waste reduction while maintaining product quality and production timelines. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement industry-leading sustainability standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainable production protocols for textile manufacturing
- Research and integrate eco-friendly materials and dyes into production processes
- Monitor energy consumption and waste management systems to ensure compliance with environmental standards
- Collaborate with suppliers to source sustainable raw materials
- Train production teams on best practices for sustainable textile manufacturing
- Conduct regular audits to identify opportunities for process improvement
Required Skills
- Expertise in textile production processes and sustainability principles
- Proficiency in lifecycle assessment (LCA) tools for textile products
- Knowledge of international environmental certification standards (e.g., GOTS, OEKO-TEX)
- Strong project management and cross-departmental collaboration skills
- Ability to analyze production data and implement cost-effective sustainability solutions
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field. Advanced degree or certification in Sustainable Manufacturing is a plus.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in textile production with a focus on sustainability initiatives. Prior experience in Ghanaian manufacturing environments preferred.
Salary
12,000 – 18,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
